Your 2007 pic still looks good but yes you've come a looong ways since then. I still can't stop admiring the lighting on Kimi in that pic lol

The monk one looks AMAZING! It's like an oil painting. You know..those that have like droplets of painting sticking out/embossed. I love it!

I really like reigi's sketch, what a good idea that was.

The monk is wonderful, a really nice look to the whole piece but yes the skirt is amazing.

That monk is just...so awesome.
I'll have to wait for you to re-open your list before I get some alcohol; I'd deffinatly be interested in something like that.

That's really, really nice. I love the colors and details.

I have to admit to being jealous of people who paint in a sketchy way - I can't help but smooth out everything even if I try and leave in a bit of texture.

thanks everyone! *happy*
haha it's kinda funny how everyone likes the skirt best, which really I found the easiest bit after having done the face, top and armguards
@ Verene: I dunno, I think painting like that for me has two reasons; one, it follows on logically from my sketching style, which is what I paint over (the monk was actually done in one layer), and two, I get terribly bored with having to overprocess details and surfaces :P although I still need to work on doing the sketchy painty thing on faces, that doesn't seem to work yet...

onto hoodie's war and frost's ele next! hopefully my replacement pen for the GT arrives soon, the old one is about to die after serving faithfully for nearly 5 years :/

edit: Hoodie w.i.p. - just a pose for now, but that was all I could get done before going out
